Privacy has increased on WhatsApp
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has announced new features for WhatsApp users. The feature will reach the world this month. But it will be launched in the UK first.
As part of the new feature, users will be able to silently exit 'group chats', as announced by Mark Zuckerberg. In addition, users can block screenshots of sent messages for one-time viewing.
Also, who can know when users are or have been online can also be defined. The new features will help keep WhatsApp's messaging service 'as secure and private as face-to-face conversations,' Zuckerberg claims.
Currently, when someone leaves or is kicked out of a group message, all participants can see it. As a result, many people suffer from irony, misunderstandings are created. But that can be avoided with the new feature.
When the new feature is launched, no one but the admin will know when the user exits the group chat.
